The May meeting of the A Cappella Choir Boosters was held in the choir room on Monday, May 3 , 2010. The minutes and agenda were distributed and reviewed.

A review of the Carnegie Hall performance and trip was given. Many meaningful memories were shared. Pictures from the trip are posted on the website and more will be shown at the banquet.

The choir’s annual banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 11 at North Parkersburg Baptist Church. Invitations were mailed May 23^rd, with a response card due back by

May 4^th. Each choir member’s meal will be paid for by the boosters group and each student may bring up to two guests, at a cost of $14 per meal. (checks are made out to PHS Choral Parents) Help is needed to put on this special night. There will be set up on Sunday, May 9^th@ 6:30, and decorating on Monday, May 10^th @ 5:30.

Another way you can help, would be donations for senior bags. We have 26 seniors that will receive a gift bag . Jo Nuckolls will be heading up this project.

On Saturday, May 15^th , we are serving a spaghetti dinner for the Gymniks Banquet at Stout Memorial. Our choir has had all the food donated by our members. Booster members and students are helping serve and clean up. We are making a great profit to help us complete our choir year’s expenses. We can use your help – so please let Amy Sinclair know how you can help!

*If you are donating food, students may bring items to practice on Thursday,May 13^th at 6:30 or on the 14^th to Stout Memorial Church during the day.

Chamber auditions for the upcoming school year will be held Wednesday, May 12^th from 3:45 – 5:45.

The Spring Concert will be Thursday , May 20^th. Dress rehearsal will be Sunday, May 16^th at 3:30. Due to the West Test , there can be no practices after school the week of the concert. Jamie Witkosky will be decorating the stage after lunch on May 19^th , if you can help. Servers will also be needed for the reception following , which honors seniors. Please sign up, so senior parents can enjoy this one!

The choir does sing at graduaton on May 29^th, so mark your calendars. Also, seniors must turn in robes on Monday , May 24^th, as well as music they may have.

Lori Brooks is planning to take a senior choir picture at the May 10^th rehearsal at 6:30.

Seniors wear red polos and jeans or jean shorts for the picture.

A BIG THANKS was given to all the boosters for their hard work and dedication!

It has been a grand year!
